Results of Surprise Cash Counts at the Department of Cultural Affairs

The Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA) works to enhance the quality of life for Los Angeles City residents by generating and supporting high quality arts and cultural experiences. DCA assures access to arts and cultural experiences through grant making, marketing, public art, community arts programming, arts education, and partnerships with artists and arts and cultural organizations throughout Los Angeles. It also creates partnerships that leverage public funds, including the City’s General Fund, the Los Angeles Endowment for the Arts, and fees mandated by the Arts Development Fee Ordinance. DCA manages 22 Neighborhood Arts and Cultural Centers including: 10 Arts and Cultural Centers, four Theaters, two Historic sites and six Galleries.
